About

Emily Connelly coordinates events and administrative duties at the Center for Global Initiatives. Emily graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and moved later that year to Italy to live for 3 years. Emily is a native of Durham, North Carolina and enjoys being a part of the Carolina community once again.


One of my favorite places on campus is the Hanes Art Center which houses the Sloane Art Library. The library is worth a long visit to peruse the books and the Ackland Art museum is right beside the building as well. The large, flat benches in this courtyard are unique for a peaceful moment of reflection.”
