DESCRIPTION:Join CGI\, UNC’s Diplomat-in-Residence and the Office of Distinguished Scholarships for an information session on government-funded opportunities\, several of which are designed for students interested in international affairs and the foreign service. \nSome awards that will be covered during this session include the following: \n\nPickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship: Provides incoming graduate students with financial support\, mentoring and professional development to prepare them academically and professionally for a career with the U.S. Department of State. Women\, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service\, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply.\nRangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program: A six-week\, domestic summer program for undergraduates designed to promote greater diversity and excellence in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State.\nFulbright U.S. Student Program: This program allows graduating seniors\, master’s students\, doctoral candidates\, and recent graduates to self-design a research/study project\, or serve as an English Teaching Assistant in one of more than 140 countries.\n\nTo let us know your coming and easily share this event with friends\, check out our Facebook event page!  \n
