A Socialist Neighborhood: Unintended Consequences of Cross-Cultural Contacts among Poland, Czechoslovakia, and East Germany, 1968-1989

Michael Skalski will travel to the Czech Republic and Poland to conduct research in the archives of the former communist secret police agencies. His findings will contribute to our understanding of the development of neighborly relations in East Central Europe before the collapse of the Soviet Bloc and accession to the European Union.
