Groundtruthing Sahelian Greening with Landuser Knowledge of Vegetation Change in Burkina Faso
Lisa Fouladbash will travel to Burkina Faso to explore whether farmer-led soil and water conservation strategies are contributing to processes of regional greening (increased vegetation), as revealed by remote sensing data. She will hold focus groups with farmers and pastoralists to tap into local knowledge about landscape change in areas of greening, and learn how perceptions of greening vary.
