Belonging and Migration in Prose and Poetry: A Dialogue With Puerto Rican Writer Mayra Santos Febres and Costa Rican Writer Shirley Campbell Barr

Santos Febres and Campbell Barr will read from their narratives to incite a dialogue between them and the audience in regards to issues of belonging and migration. The flow and exchange of peoples between the continental USA, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica is used as the starting point of this conversation that seeks to incite reflection upon the impact of travel/migration on one's lives, memories and human exchanges. In light of the distinct challenges with immigration and citizenship rules how does one claim a sense of belonging and sisterhood wherever one goes?
