Re-entry Nursing student travels with her child to Sri Lanka to gain perspective on providing holistic nursing care for families receiving genetic diagnosis.
Kendell Silveira will travel to Sri Lanka to experience nursing in a developing nation and she will learn Ayurveda wellness practices which she will integrate into her career as a pediatric endocrinology nurse. This opportunity will allow her to learn nursing in a non-technologically based society as well as bring a deeper understanding of a holistic treatment modality to compliment modern, technological medicine.
