Generating Possible Futures: Reanimating Communist Monuments in Post-Socialist Albania
Kailey Rocker is interested in how and what ways the symbolic and material remains of the communist period are being taken up and reanimated by post-socialist countries to generate possible futures. She will travel to Albania to visit communist heritage sites and explore various qualitative methods, such as mental mapping and the 'go-along' interview, that highlight the significance of space.
