Professors Foster and Balderston will present multiple talks to celebrate the publication of the first Latin American novel on the topic of lesbianism. The original manuscript of the novel by Colombian author Vargas Vila (1860-1933) is held at the UNC Rare Book Collection and has been recently edited by a UNC faculty member. area of Latin American literature
