I am applying for a Fulbright ETA, because the program creates a framework for personal and professional growth and mutually beneficial service, all of which I find paramount. The only international experience I have is comprised of a ten-day trip to Spain. While I took away snapshots from this trip, I want a more comprehensive understanding of the country and the ability to experience Spain as a local instead of through my limited viewpoint as a brief tourist.
