"Legislating Gender and Sexuality in Africa: Rights, Society, and the State in Interdisciplinary Perspective" will be a two day symposium held at UNC-Chapel Hill in April 2016. Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences Interdisciplinary Initiatives program, it will bring together a distinguished and diverse group of scholars working on issues relating to human rights, gender, and sexuality in African societies today.
