Earth Day 2015 Talk by Majora Carter
UNC's annual Earth Day events celebrate the campus community's commitment to environmental quality, economic prosperity, and societal well-being. To mark the occasion, diverse departments, programs, and organizations across campus collaborate to sponsor and host an Earth Day Keynote speaker. This year Majora Carter, an urban revitalization strategist and MacArthur-winning activist, has been selected to deliver the keynote address, pending the availability of funds. Given Carter's trailblazing experience in green-infrastructure, social justice, and job training and placement systems, we invite your program to co-sponsor this event.
