Understanding How Contextual Factors Shape the Experience of Living with Diabetes in Rural Dominican Republic

Humberto Rodriguez will travel to the Dominican Republic for his summer practicum. He will use qualitative interviews to understand the health transition from acute, infectious disease to chronic, non-communicable disease from the perspective of community health workers in two rural communities and explore how contextual factors shape the experience of living with diabetes in these communities.
