Promoting Healthy Physical, Mental and Emotional Development: Empowering At-Risk Youth in Urban Guatemala
Jason Trull will travel to Guatemala City to serve as a classroom assistant with the non-profit Camino Seguro. Camino Seguro operates under the mission to provide hope, education and opportunity to many of the most at-risk youth in Latin America. At the school, Jason will collaborate with the facility's lone health instructor to develop and implement a sustainable health education program which will promote and enrich healthy physical, mental and emotional development of the students.
Note: This award was made as a C.V. Starr Scholarship, prior to the merger of this opportunity into the Carolina Global Initiative Award.
