Premchand in Translation Conference, New Delhi
John Caldwell will travel to New Delhi where he will present a paper and participate in a conference on Premchand in Translation at Jamia Millia Islamia University. He is already part of the ongoing Premchand Translation project; Munshi Premchand is one of the most important writers of the early 20th century in South Asia, but the majority of his hundreds of short stories have never been translated into English.
