This faculty working group will examine cultural artifacts and practices linked to speculation understood in the economic sense as the proliferation of high-risk, short or medium term investments that are bought and sold for profit. This group will organize a conference entitled "Speculation" that examines such practices in an international context, focusing on German-language cultural artifacts.
