Health, Culture and the Body in Bastar, Chhattisgarh
For my project, I seek to travel to Bastar, Chhattisgarh to understand the role of government health education programs on the lived health knowledge of tribal people. I will work directly with Mitanins, state government trained health educators to find out how health knowledge is disseminated in the villages through observation and in-depth interviewing. This project will illuminate the villagers' understanding of health and disease.
