Global Media and/as Local Politics: Engaging new Markets, Media and Publics in an Emerging "Muslim World"
An interdisciplinary and inter-university group of graduate and undergraduate students, faculty and invited researchers will hold monthly brown-bag lunch meetings in which they consider the shape of future movements in media, markets and networks across the "Muslim World" --and work to critically examine the emerging implications of established ones. In January 2012, the group will hold a publicized symposium, sponsored by a number of organizations across the university, in which these questions will be considered by a range of panelists and presenters.
