Nested Identities: Negotiating Muslim-ness and Shia-ness in 20th century India
Aseem Hasnain will conduct field research in Lucknow and Hyderabad cities in India. His project examines the formation of collective identities among the Shia, a community nested within the Muslim minority. His project studies politics and culture over the 20th century.
